Year 7 have enjoyed a day focusing on safety today. Pupils were engaged throughout the day in sessions run by RNLI, St John Ambulance, Springfield pupils, British Transport Police in association with South West Trains and Mrs Mandrill. Pupils experienced a great array of sessions including learning the recovery position and other First Aid skills led by St John Ambulance as well as CPR thanks to Mrs Mandrill. Year 10 pupil volunteers also presented excellent self-esteem ‘change maker’ sessions. Pupils learned the dangers of the sea thanks to an informative session run by RNLI. It was been a great day full of pupil participation – thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time today.
