Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys' Rugby team. On Monday, 19 November, the team took part in a day festival hosted at Portsmouth Rugby Camp. Altogether ten games were played against schools from all over Hampshire.  All of the games were competitive and played in an excellent spirit. A special mention goes to Mackenzie Edwards for his quick passing hands, Austin Cole for his excellent rucking at the breakdown. To Chase Hutchinson for his brilliant tackling and to Toby Stoneman for his excellent reading of the game. Great progress was made from start to finish and the boys should be very proud of their achievements. Well done!

Details of the 2025 Open Evening are to be confirmed.  Please note this page will be updated with this information in due course.

Our Open Evening is undoubtedly the best way in which to find out more about the opportunities that Springfield has to offer.  However, there are also a number of short films about the school available on the homepage of our website which you can enjoy watching with your child; we suggest that you watch these prior to your visit.  We hope these will give you an insight into the extremely positive learning environment that we have at Springfield and encourage you to make Springfield your first choice. (Kindly note that the impressive refurbishment of our Science Block is now complete!)

Year 11 pupils are encouraged to apply for the National Citizen Service residential, which takes place after GCSE exams have finished.
Pupils can choose between these five day programmes:

*"Boss it" - business skills
*"Change it" - issues facing society
*"Live it" - survival skills and life hacks

All residentials are on an outdoors activity campus, so activities such as kayaking and climbing will be offered. Pupils can choose to participate or opt out of activities as they wish. Year 11s can ask to be placed with friends from either Springfield or other schools but will also meet new people.

This is free for those pupils listed as pupil premium, who receive free school meals or have an EHCP.  The cost can also be discounted, depending on personal circumstances. The full cost is £95, completely all inclusive.
