On Saturday, 14 June, six Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) groups assembled at the start point in the New Forest. Following months of preparation at our weekly training sessions, they were eager to embark on their bronze assessed expedition. Each group navigated and walked approximately six hours a day on the Saturday and Sunday and camped overnight in the New Forest. The groups were assessed to ensure they met the twenty conditions laid out by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (linked here) and we are pleased to share that all six groups passed! For some participants, the expedition was the final section of their award completed and they will shortly receive their certificates and badges during their year group assembly. For others, we hope that the excitement of passing the expedition will spur them on to upload their assessor's report and get their award finished.
