Our annual Open Evening on 25 September showcased the vibrant community and excellent facilities that our school proudly offers. The event provided prospective students and their families with an opportunity to experience first-hand the dynamic environment that encourages both academic and personal growth. Our dedicated staff and enthusiast student ambassadors were on hand to welcome visitors, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and informed. The event featured guided tours by our Year 11 Prefects and Year 10 Tutor Group Assistants. The tours highlighted the vast array of subjects studied at the school, the chance to view pupil work as well as a glimpse into the daily life at our school, reflecting the engaging and supportive learning environment we strive to maintain. Ms Spivey, Headteacher, ably assisted by our Head Girl, Head Boy and two of our Year 8 students gave three informative presentations throughout the evening giving an insight into Springfield School and The De Curci Trust.
Our Music department provided some great entertainment in the Courtyard and Music Room where students showcased their talents through live performances. In the Drama department students demonstrated their fantastic acting abilities during an interactive 'murder mystery' performance. Departments across the school hosted interactive demonstrations, allowing prospective students to participate in hands-on activities. From science experiments to having a go at new sports, these sessions highlighted the diverse range of opportunities available to students. Visitors were able to experience the enthusiasm and expertise of our teachers and students, who were eager to share their passion for education.
We are excited to welcome the new cohort of students next year who will undoubtedly contribute to our thriving community. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening a memorable one.
