Some of our Year 11 Drama GCSE students put on a showcase of their GCSE exam performances last night in the Drama Studios. The GCSE exam takes place this Thursday so it was good for them to rehearse their extracts in front of an audience. Some of the extracts included: 'The Play That Went Wrong', 'Mogadishu', 'Shakers', 'Too Much Punch for Judy' and 'Two'.
During the exam on Thursday students will be performing two key extracts from a performance text. The students will be assessed on three aspects of their performance:
- ·Voice and movement
- ·Roles and characterisation
- ·Content, style and form and communication
The students’ performances will be an extract from a full length published play. The group size determines how long each extract needs to be to fulfill examination requirements.Every student has had to prepare two extracts.
Good luck to all the pupils for Thursday.
