We were thrilled to receive this message from parents of one of our Year 11 leavers regarding the recent African Adventures Kenya trip:

"We are writing to say a massive thank you for organising with the African Adventures charity such an amazing and life changing experience through the recent Kenya Trip. We really appreciate that Springfield offers such an opportunity, one that will stay with children all their lives. Initially children developed life skills in working hard to raise the funds to go by organising different events including car boot sales, bake sales, bingo nights etc. Also in our son’s case, he trained and ran a sponsored 10km for the first time. Then the actual time in Kenya totally surpassed all our expectations. Thank you to all the staff that gave up their holiday time to accompany the children and for updating Facebook each evening with photos of the days activities. It was wonderful to see the richness of the experience unfold from the progress of the building projects to seeing the Kenyan children engaged in lessons and sports activities and using the donated items we had sent across. We realise schools are under constant pressure to deliver higher and higher exam results but of course education and developing as a person is about so much more. Opportunities like this are exceptional and their impact is long lasting, thank you."
