Some of our Year 7 and Year 10 pupils recently took part in an anonymous Ipsos MORI’s Annual Study of Young People. Ipsos MORI is an independent research organisation and every year since 1995, this particular survey has asked 11-16 year olds questions about their lives, opinions and experiences. Springfield is one of around 100 schools in Britain that will take part this year. About 2,500 pupils will take part in total. Different organisations with an interest in hearing from young people ask questions on the survey each year. The survey helps them understand what young people in Britain think and what their lives are like. The findings from the research are published and used by government departments, academic researchers in universities, and charities.
We received a letter from Ipsos MORI at the start of the summer term to say thank you to everyone who took part. They also very kindly donated £100 to the school as a thank you. We will be asking the Student Council to come up with suggestions as to how school can use this money.
Thank you to the Year 7 and 10 pupils who took the time to complete this survey.
