Our Year 9 pupils had the fantastic opportunity of participating in the Portsmouth College Enterprise Academy Roadshow today with thanks to Portsmouth College and their partners Unloc, some of our Governors and local business volunteers. Pupils worked together in groups to plan, design and build a prototype of a new facility for young people in the city with different functions. They had a plot-size to work with, created effective marketing campaigns and also planned a sixty second 'Dragons' Den' style pitch. The five top teams were then picked to present their proposals to our panel of 'dragons' (Springfield Chair of Governors - Alan Cufley, Ian Grainger from BAE Systems, Alison Slater from IBM and Rob Pilch from Queensbury Shelters). Pupils produced some great concepts and kept their nerves in check whilst presenting to the 'dragons'. Thanks to Portsmouth College, Unloc and of course our 'formidable dragons' for a great day!
