Back in October, a group of Year 10 pupils had an enjoyable day at the construction careers fair i-Construct.  As you may have read in Springfield News, as part of the day, pupils had to work in a small team to interview a construction company, using the scenario of a new hospital needing to be built, and then had to create a presentation to deliver to a panel of employers. Teams were filmed during their presentation and scored as part of a competition.

 

We are delighted that George M, Phoenix B, Ethan W and Harrison K won the Future Leaders Award, sponsored by Dodd Group, and that Jack S, Kayden S and Brandon M won the Most Engaging Presentation Award, sponsored by Mildren Construction.  This busy event was attended by many schools, all bringing multiple teams, so the students are to be congratulated on this achievement. The judges made positive comments about their polite and professional manner, as well as the methodical way they presented their findings.
