Year 9 Sociology students have had an alien invasion! On Wednesday, 03 December students did role play work talking with their 'Extra Terrestrial' friend about British culture and social issues. They had to answer the questions posed by the 'outer space visitors' from both Functionalist and Marxist perspectives. This gave the students the opportunity to debate important topics, hear different perspectives and have an 'out of this world' fun lesson.  Students gained skills in comparing sociological theories, enhanced their communication skills and creatively expressed their understanding of theories.
