Year 7 pupils got creative this term making pizza snacks, learning important skills such as measuring ingredients accurately, kneading dough, and using the oven safely. They also practised topping their pizzas with balance and flair, combining flavours and textures. They also whipped up colourful fruit salads enhancing their chopping, mixing and creative plating skills.
Meanwhile, Year 10 pupils tackled a more complex dish - Green Thai Curry. This involved mastering knife skills, preparing fresh ingredients, and blending spices to create authentic flavours. They also learned cooking techniques such as simmering and balancing flavours giving them hands-on experience in making a restaurant-style dish.
Both year groups demonstrated fantastic teamwork, patience, and creativity, showing just how fun and rewarding cooking can be!
