A Memorable Sixth Form Week for Year 11 Leavers

Year 11 students at Springfield enjoyed an exciting and enriching experience during Sixth Form Week this week. They participated in a variety of engaging sessions designed to broaden their horizons and prepare them for future opportunities. Students had the chance to explore a diverse range of sessions including cookie decoration, criminology, CV and interview skills, a scientific but fun egg drop challenge, games design, handball, psychology, and even a driving experience with ADA, amongst others. The programme was carefully crafted to enhance their understanding of higher education, career opportunities, valuable life skills as well as some more creative sessions as they transition beyond school.

Thank you to all the teachers who generously volunteered their time to conduct these sessions, and to ADA for accommodating all the enthusiastic students who attended the popular driving experience!

The Sixth Form Week concluded with a vibrant leavers' event on Thursday, 26 June 2025. During this celebratory assembly, students reflected on their past five years at school. Miss Hawkins, Head of Achievement for Year 11 and Mrs Redman, Pastoral Manager for Year 11 hosted the event, presenting special awards and sharing nostalgic photos depicting students in Year 7 and now in Year 11.

Following the assembly, students enjoyed a delicious barbeque, courtesy of our dedicated catering team. They indulged in delicious burgers and hot dogs as well as ice creams from the ice cream van whilst signing each other’s school shirts, creating lasting memories of their time at Springfield.

We wish all our Year 11 leavers the very best in their future endeavours and look forward to hearing about their successes!
