On 07 May 2025, Springfield had the pleasure of welcoming the 'Tech Truck', an innovative mobile education and technology roadshow. This event was sponsored by local colleges and its aim is to engage and inspire Year 10 students by showcasing a broad range of career opportunities in fields like maritime, logistics, health and social care, and the creative arts.

The roadshow provided students with hands-on, interactive experiences. They explored virtual and augmented reality systems, experimented with marine and flight simulation technologies, and interacted with fully programmable robotic arms. Students also had the chance to work with drones and 3D printers, among other cutting-edge technologies.

The benefits of this roadshow were extensive, offering students a glimpse into the exciting world of technology and its numerous career paths.
