We are thrilled to have participated in the 'Open Doors' initiative, a fantastic programme designed to give young people a glimpse into careers within the construction industry. As part of the Hilsea Lines project, Portsmouth City Council is undertaking the redevelopment of Hilsea Lido, situated in the northern part of the city. The primary goal of this project is to enhance the area, making it more inviting for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

During their visit, the students had the opportunity to listen to a presentation by the Project Manager, who provided valuable insights into the project. The talk also emphasised the critical importance of health and safety regulations, which are fundamental to all construction and site projects.

Our Year 10 students were particularly fortunate to go on-site and witness the development of the new complex firsthand. This experience not only broadened their understanding of the construction field but also inspired them to consider potential careers in this dynamic industry.
