On Friday, 7th March, Springfield School proudly hosted the Biggest Ever Girls’ Football Session, welcoming pupils from several local primary schools. Led by our dedicated Springfield Sport Ambassadors, the session focused on key football skills, including passing, dribbling, and shooting.

In addition to skill-based activities, pupils had the exciting opportunity to take part in mini matches, allowing them to develop their tactical understanding of the game while competing against other schools. Whether it was their first time playing football or a chance to refine their abilities, every participant embraced the experience with enthusiasm and determination.

The Springfield Sport Ambassadors played a vital role in making the event a success, working hard to create engaging activities tailored to all abilities. Visiting teachers were full of praise, commenting on how polite, helpful, and supportive the ambassadors were, as well as how confident and well-organised they were in leading their sessions.

All pupils who took part were a credit to their schools, and it was fantastic to see so many girls enjoying the beautiful game. A huge well done to our Sport Ambassadors (pictured) for their outstanding efforts - we look forward to them organising and delivering another exciting primary festival in the summer term!
