Year 10 Textiles students have successfully completed their Tatty Devine inspired pendants, and the results are impressive. Tatty Devine is a unique British jewellery brand founded in 1999 by Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden, known for its playful and creative designs that often utilise unconventional materials like acrylic. The founders, who met at Chelsea School of Art, draw inspiration from pop culture, art, and everyday objects to create vibrant and eclectic pieces, including whimsical animal motifs and personalised name necklaces. The brand is notable for its commitment to sustainability, with all items handmade in the UK to ensure quality and support local manufacturing.
Throughout this project, students utilised Computer-Aided Design (CAD) along with various finishing techniques, such as filling, to craft their unique pieces. In addition to honing their design skills, they also gained valuable knowledge about polymers.
