Year 9 Sociology students are diving into the fascinating world of sociological research methods. To help them grasp how a research sample can represent a broader population, students used a cup of Skittles as their target audience. They organised these colourful sweets in various ways, illustrating how different sampling methods can be applied to diverse research types.
What could have been a mundane lesson was transformed into an engaging and lively experience through independent learning and the vibrant colours of the sweets. This hands-on activity not only made the concept of sampling more accessible but also added a splash of creativity and fun to the classroom.
