Year 8 students have been learning about inspirational people during their REP lessons with a focus on faith in action. They have been exploring the ways people have used their faith to face adversity. Key figures have included Malala Yousafzai, Dr Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi and Maria Gomez.
Students undertook their own research and the calibre of work proved outstanding! Students' researched Emline Pankhurst, Nicky Cruze and Corrie Ten Boome amongst others. They enjoyed presenting their findings to the class. The research, presentations and support for class members was excellent - well done year 8!
This part of the curriculum is important as it encourages students to think constructively about their goals so they can use their initiative, show resilience and harness their curiosity so they can plan their own learning journey.
