Year 10 Art students produced some intricate and imaginative sculptures as part of their mock exams this week. Students created a range of 3D outcomes using air-dry clay for their natural forms project. They were asked to design and practise making forms, textures and patterns using different clay mark making techniques. Some students used newspaper armature and then added slab building around this. Other students coiled their designs or made pinch pots. They will finish their sculptures after they have dried out by painting them. Students worked really hard for the five hour exam and really enjoyed the chance to focus on an extended outcome.
