The Girls' Network is a charity that works with young women across the UK.  Their aim is to inspire and empower girls by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional role models who are women.  On 6 March some of our Year 10 mentees attended a 'Be You Portsmouth' event at the University of Portsmouth run by The Girls' Network.  Students met with all of the mentees from across Portsmouth and were inspired by the guest speakers who are women that were inspired to better themselves through university. Students also took part in workshops and had the pleasure of meeting Gloria Miller, a singer/artist from Chicago. The whole experience was inspiring and all of the students enjoyed themselves.  They received a 'goody bag' and water bottle at the end of the evening as a momento.
