On Monday, 19 February, Year 10 geographers were part of a lesson delivered by EBP (Education Business Partnership) and Taylor Wimpey, looking at Urban Planning. The lesson combined careers and skills information with some practice in decision making linked to students' GCSE Geography paper 3 exam. Students had to decide on the best site for a future development and then arrange all of the infrastructure and houses on the site so that it attracted new homeowners and took into account pre existing factors such as nesting grounds and local services. We hope this session was interesting for all who took part and that it will help when making decisions in future lessons, their exams and their future lives.
