The Under 16 girls' football team made their way to Miltoncross school on 8th of November for the first round of the Portsmouth Cup. The girls were a little nervous as they have played Miltoncross before in previous years and it has always been a close game however this did not stop them from going there with a positive mentality. The game kicked off and straight away the girls were on the front foot playing lots of balls into the box. Our first goal came from Daisy and shortly after she scored again with a beautiful finish. More goals followed from Georgia, Millie (2) and an unfortunate own goal. Miltoncross got one back just after half-time but this was shortly followed by goals from Georgia and Isobel making the score 9-1. Miltoncross scored again but a brilliant penalty from Roxy ensured the girls finished with a 10-2 win. That positive mentality and motivation to win really paid off. Great performance by all and a host of goal scorers!
