The Year 11 GCSE Drama classes had a fabulous opportunity to take part in a full day's workshop with Ciaran from Paper Birds Theatre Company. Paper Birds are a group that devise their own original, stylised performances. The Year 11 students had the chance to explore different approaches to devising original drama using the techniques used by Paper Birds. This supplemented the work covered in class as part of their component 1, where students are required to devise a piece of Drama based on one or more of three stimuli. The students left the workshop full of inspiration and ideas of how they could apply what they had learnt to their own pieces.
