We are delighted to reveal the answers to the Maths Department open evening sweet competition below:

 

Estimate the number of sweets in a jar - there were 287 sweets in total and the correct guess was 279.  The winner was from Highbury Primary School and there was a total of 75 entries. 

 

Guess the lowest whole number - the lowest number which no one else guessed was 2.  We had 62 entries and the closest answer won.  Again the winner was from Highbury Primary School.

 

Both winners receive a new scientific calculator and the the pupil who guessed the sweets correctly also wins the jar of sweets! Well done to the winners.
