They understand this is a concerning time for their Hampshire and Isle of Wight residents. As a service they are concerned that as the cost-of-living crisis continues into the colder months, residents will become increasingly pressured to find alternative ways to cook hot meals, heat their home, dry washing and light their home, which could increase house fires.

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service cost-of-living campaign has been set up to advise members of the community about how to stay safe, whilst trying to cut down on costs and gives advice about the 5Cs:
