Year 7 had a great boost to their personal development today by excellent role models from a range of emergency services sharing with them what to look for and how to stay safe over the summer and beyond. Our grateful thanks to the RNLI, British Transport Police, HFRS (Cosham - Blue watch), St John Ambulance service as well as the British Heart Foundation's CPR lead by Mrs Mandrill. A high impact day that gives them the knowledge and understanding to make the correct decisions when necessary. Lucy Carlile of St John Ambulance who is also an ex-Springfield pupil said 'I was asked to come back to Springfield School to help at the Year 7 Focus Day as part of the St John Ambulance. I was a student last year and wanted to come back and help the Year 7s. It was great being back!'
