Five Springfield pupils attended the Anti Bullying Conference, a huge event that took place at Portsmouth Guildhall on Tuesday 30th January. It was the first event of its kind to take place in the country, including a large selection of primary and secondary schools from the Portsmouth area. The session involved identifying types, causes and effects of bullying and sharing ideas as to how these could be tackled by their respective schools. There were also talks from several speakers from various areas of expertise including a representative of the Diana award and Portsmouth City Council. The pupils involved will now take the ideas they have learnt or developed to the Inclusion Committee, a branch of the Student Council, with a view to implementing them across the school.

The pupils involved and pictured below were Katie Binny 8L, Liam Edwards 9D, Caitlin Shipp 9S, Harry Stoneman 10S and Rachel Shepherd 10D
