We welcomed back the charity 'Prison Me No Way' from Hull who took over the Year 9 timetable for the day and wowed the pupils with the impact Prison has on people's lives, how to stay safe and the consequences of poor decision making. Ranging from their street scene, 'Confrontation street' to an actual cell based in the back of a truck, from presenters such as domestic abuse experts and ex-offenders to the prison wardens themselves. Prison Me No Way commented that we were one of the most polite, organised and friendly schools they had been in! Thank you to Prison Me No Way for a fun, informative and engaging day.
'It was great having 'Prison Me No Way' come into our school. It was really interesting to learn what daily life is like within prison and the possible consequences that could happen if we make the wrong choices. The stories were facinating to hear and Anthony (an ex-offender) in particular was inspiring to listen to as he told his story of how he had turned his life around after his prison sentence. Overall the focus day was a very positive experience.' - Libby Kale, 9D
