In January 2017, Portsmouth City Council consulted with parents/carers and other stakeholders about changes to the Home to School Transport Policy and the Post 16 Learners Statement due to the funding pressures on Local Authority budgets. After careful consideration changes to the policies were agreed and a summary of these changes have been available to view on the Portsmouth City Council website and the Local Offer website since September 2017. The proposed policy will come into effect in September 2018; however, recently updated Government guidelines have necessitated further changes to the 19-25 age range offer and Portsmouth City Council are seeking views on these additional changes between 24th April 2018 and 21st May 2018. The proposed Home to School Transport Policy and Post 16 Learners Statement is now available for stakeholders to view on the Local Offer website at http://www.portsmouthlocaloffer.org/..
