Please see below some details of an environmental research event organised by the University of Portsmouth for school-aged students from the Bangladesh community:

The environmental sector is the second least diverse profession in the UK and we would like to understand the drivers for this so we can make recommendations to national funding bodies. To do this, we are running an environmental jam on the 21st of May. This is an interactive walking tour of Portsmouth where students will workshop how to solve environmental issues like sea level rise and air pollution. In the afternoon we will be talking to them and their parents about how we can enable students from diverse backgrounds to study environmental sciences.
