Due to the planned national strikes, SWR customers are urged only to travel by rail if absolutely necessaryfrom Saturday 5 to Thursday 10 November

  • Strike days (5, 7, 9 November) will see a severely reduced service between 07:15 and 18:30 on a limited number of routes for those who have no choice but to travel

  • On Guy Fawkes Night, Saturday 5 November, last trains will depart at around 1700 and customers are urged to check journey planners to avoid getting stranded

  • Days between and after strike days will also be significantly impacted by the strike; first trains across the network will start much later than usual and are likely to be very busy

South Western Railway (SWR) is urging customers only to travel by rail if absolutely necessary from Saturday 5 to Thursday 10 November due to the planned RMT industrial action.

Customers should expect severe disruption on the network and, if they must travel on any of those days, should seek to do so by other means
