All Year 7 tutor groups had the opportunity to take part in the early rounds of the Spelling Bee in their MFL lessons with a semi-final and a final taking place over two lunchtimes. Students had to learn twenty four words from six languages including Croatian, Ukrainian and Norwegian. Those who made the final had to learn additional words from Samoan, Irish and Finnish. All participants earned plenty of House points and the winners received a pen and badge. Congratulations to Devaansh Mahesh for winning overall (pictured on the left). It really was incredibly impressive to see our finalists spell so many of the words correctly in the space of one minute! Well done to all involved.
